Sad News to Report

It is with a sad heart and misty eyes that I have to let you know that Hope, the little Hedgehog who went to Hedgehog Care, has passed on to Hedgehog Heaven.

  1. Oh, how terribly sad John. I'm so sorry to hear that, and I know you will be feeling it deeply coz you seem to be very fond of the hedgehogs.

  3. I'm so sorry to hear the news John, how sad. I know how easy it is to become attached to the creatures who visit us. At least you know you did your very best for her though as I'm sure Elaine did too.

    Goodbye sweet Hope.

  4. Aw John... that is such a shame. I was only asking you about her in your previous post this morning. At least you know you tried to help her and acted quickly. I am guessing this must be hard for Elaine too.

  10. I was so sorry to read this, John, and know how much 'hope' we had for her recovery. I feel your sad heart, too ~ thank you for looking out for her and taking her to a caring place. I'm picturing her as a little hedgehog angel.

  11. Thank you all for your kind comments. I do miss Hope as she was the only Hedgehog visiting here who would wait for food to be placed in front of her. When I phoned Elaine to find out if there was any news she was just as upset as I was at losing a little one.
