Friday at the Flicks

There are usually a couple of Goldfinches which insist in eating upside-down. I think they found that they don't get involved in squabbles quite so often when they avoid the perches.

I had temporarily taken down one of the feeders while I was cutting down the Sunflower. By the lunch time rush I had forgotten to put it back up so there were six perches less than normal and a sudden influx of House Sparrows.

Have a great weekend everyone.

  3. So much activity at your feeders, John. My neighbor is out trimming his lilacs with an electric trimmer, so there are no birds to be seen at my feeders just now. Glad I got to see yours. :-)

    cheers,
    Wilma

  9. Hi Crista. Maybe I shouldn't have so many though I know the birds will probably need them once the Winter arrives.

  10. Thank you Jan. Sparrows have always bred well here. Plenty of hedges, easy roof space to nest in and of course my drive for dust baths. ;)
