A Bit on the Cold Side Today

Outdoor temperatures so far this week:

Temp Jan13.jpg

Forecasts indicate that temperatures will struggle to get up to 0C during the daytime until late Sunday. It was about -6C when we went for our early morning walk-about. Fortunately there was no wind or it would have felt much colder. The birds are getting through seed like it is going out of fashion. A good job a new supply was delivered yesterday.

    1. I'm lazy these days TWG. I get such things delivered, saves me having to heave them in and out of the boot (trunk) of the car.

  4. Nothing like a cold snap for clearing Niger seed. They will eat anything when hungry.

    1. True Adrian. Not much, if anything, in the way of natural food for the insect eaters in this weather.

  5. Hi John,

Not sure if you'll see this as I know you've posted a couple of times since, but just wondered how you record the temperature on a PC like you have done there? That graph looks like it's a really good way of showing temperature on a weekly basis.

    1. Hi Joe,

I use a PC program called Cumulus. It extracts and stores the information from my weather centre.
