Let's Face It

Today I received a couple more wood carvings. This time faces which have been sculpted in bamboo roots. I used them to break up the plain wooden walls of the summerhouse and my shed:

I love the facial expressions and will probably invest in a couple more in the New Year.

    1. TWG. Probably more scary in a close up photograph than in real life.

    1. Bonnie. I do admire people who can visualise and create something from a lump of wood or stone.

  5. I love these . . . . but, they are faces - so I think you should give them each a name! Very interesting!

  6. Their facial expressions seem to look a little 'board'! Sorry... ;) Great sculptures. You have quite a wonderful back garden with water features, Birdy Bistro, hedgehog houses, sculptures, summer house etc. Lots of textural elements and interest. Have a merry one!

    1. Glo. It's a good job you only see the bits I want you to see ;) About a third could well be described as being on the wild side though I prefer to call it natural. That's probably what makes it attractive to wildlife.
