Taking Advantage of the Wet Weather.

The blackbirds love it when the back lawn get saturated with so much rain. That drives the worms to the surface so they make easy pickings:

I had to smile as the Blackbird wrestled with this small worm which kept curling round his beak.

  1. Rain ... an advantage for some but a disadvantage for many other species John.

My Blue Tits have been resorting to the fat feeder due to the lack of insects ... washed away by the wet weather.

    1. True Frank. Much the same here, the Great Tits are having to raid the feeders for their offspring.

  2. such handsome birds! love your blackbirds!

Thank you for visiting. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Any comment, or correction to any information or identification I get wrong, is most welcome. John
