Penny had been in the garden for a few minutes so I was more than a little surprised to see a Grey Heron had landed near the pond. It was keeping an eye on where she was but Penny couldn't see it as the greenhouse was in the way. She only noticed when it took off:

Walkies about 7.30 a.m., clear except for the clouds of breath from both our mouths. About 8.30 it was back to thick fog which cleared in less than an hour. Mac app used: Circular Studio. Yes, I even paid for this one!
A mainly pictorial record of the wildlife and events in my part of Lincolnshire. My garden has two bird nest boxes and a Hedgehog house fitted with video cameras. There are several bird feeders and a large pond attracting a variety of wildlife to the garden.
Most of the pictures in the main part of my Jottings can be clicked on for larger views.
Many of my video clips are stored on my YouTube account.
