Spot the Birds

There are three in this photo:

A couple of days ago I spotted a small group of Long-tailed Tits flitting about a tree in the garden behind me. I tried several times to photograph them but, true to type, they didn't stay in one place for very long.

In case you are struggling - start with the central one which is in flight. Another is almost hidden a short distance away at 4 o'clock. The third is standing on its head with tail straight up in the air further away at 10 o'clock

  1. I love them too. I used to find that a basket of peanuts would keep them a little longer as they just can't resist them.

  2. They had a successful breeding season last year as there seems to be lots of them around. Lets hope the remaining winter is not too hard.

  3. Got them all! Very hard birds to photograph.

  4. You did well to get 3 in the frame at the same time.

  5. You did well :) I don't think I have managed to get a photo - they rarely keep still even when visiting garden fatballs! Such lovely little birds.

  6. Thanks all for the comments. LTTs are always a delight to watch. Never seen any squabble over food unlike most other birds.

  7. Great capture, John! They are so quick and its so hard to follow them with a camera. We had a group back at the end of the year and I managed some images too. I love how they all go in different directions (as your image shows). Such characters they are :-)
