Last Monday I presented this WidsMob Montage for you to identify:
As Ragged Robin and Wilma suggested it was of:
a grotesque carving on the side of a church.
A gargoyle is a carving with some form of hole or spout to drain water from the roof whereas a grotesque is just a decorative carving.
As always my thanks to everyone who had a go at identifying it.

ReplyDeleteSuper photo of the grotesque - so pleased I got it right! I looked at this week's and thought I hadn't got a clue - first thoughts a goblin in a wood! Then things became clearer and I think it may be one of the tree surgeons who cut down one of your garden trees? So that is my guess for this week :) It is hard though so well done for such a clever puzzle!
