That Hedgehog Again

The local hedgehog continues to make nightly visits to the Hedgehog House for free nosh
(crushed unsalted peanuts and dried mealworms):

Jerky movements near the start of the video are caused by the PC dropping frames while it was being recorded!

  1. really quite cute with its prickly fur. :)

  2. It looks quite at home. Is there just the 1 these days?

    1. I think so Wilma. There might have been a juvenile the first time but lately there has only been a fully grown one about.

  3. Replies
    1. It should be fat enough for hibernation time the way it is stuffing the food down Matron.

  4. This is the best yet. know that it is LED lit but what is the camera. Does it record or is it wireless to the computer? Whatever it is very good.

    1. Adrian: In fact it is better than it shows in the video. I had to have a long think - as far as I can remember it came with a nestbox I bought from a garden centre. This one is wired through to the computer. Too much chance of interference with the wireless type. Size about 2 inches across! Something like the one shown here:
Click on the RH piccy for a larger view.
      Look back to
to see it in the Hedgehog House. The black lump is a control for brightness of the LEDs.

Thank you for visiting. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Any comment, or correction to any information or identification I get wrong, is most welcome. John
