A good start to the new season of Monday Macros.

Congratulations and a virtual Midmarsh Gold Star to Wilma, TexWisGirl and Adrian who each sussed out it was a close view of a cactus plant:

On to this week's new macro shot.
Guess What:

Please leave any guesses in the comments.
They, along the answer, will be revealed next Monday .
No prizes.
Just for fun and maybe a virtual Midmarsh Gold or Silver Star.

Penny is continuing to make progress. Her appetite returned to normal (eating me out of house and home) on Saturday. The new dressing which Mike put on teatime Friday didn't stay on long. By Sunday afternoon it was only hanging on by half of one side so I took it off. A quick yank and a short yelp and I think we both felt better. This had already been agreed with Mike. It had been irritating Penny. I think as it got looser it was rubbing on the ends of the stitches and must have been very ticklish to say the least.

Now I can see the extent of the work Mike did to patch her up. Hopefully, once fully healed and fur re-grown she will just have a long scar to show for the incident.

  1. toothbrush. Happy that Penny is looking good.

  2. poor baby girl. :)

i'd say that's a toothbrush, so i'm gonna go one step further and say it's penny's toothbrush to try to keep her teeth well...

  3. deep breathe.
    (oowcheeee/where is the graphic warning?/oowcheeee).
    Nice stitch work.
can you cover it back over now?
    deep breathe.

  4. Good to see Penny with her war wound healing nicely.
I think this is a tooth brush.

  5. I think that is Penny's brush... well, I hope it is as it has a black hair in it :) So pleased to hear she's improving and feels much better without the bandage dressing. Hope she feels 100% soon.

  6. Glad Penny is on the mend

Is the photo the head of an electric toothbrush
