Well, bits of fat balls anyway as this visiting Rook was showering more on the garden than it was managing to eat!
In the end I went outside so it would fly away before there was nothing left for any other visitor.
It was having quite a problem balancing in the blustery wind. All being well there will be a video clip of it on Friday's "Friday at the Flicks".
Another very determined character! Those beaks are huge aren't they. We get Crows and Rooks on the roof but as far as I know they never come down into the garden but that's fine, I have enough trouble with greedy Starlings devouring the fat balls. Love the last photo in particular.
ReplyDeleteJohn look forward to it, the stills are fun. like the layout.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures John. Certainly a messy eater. Worse than the Starlings lol
ReplyDeleteThat is one very excited rook!
ReplyDeleteVery determined, Jan. It was pecking so vigorously bits were flying all over the place. As you say the Starlings grab enough food without the larger birds joining in.
ReplyDeleteHi Adrian. The video shows how determined the Rook was. The layout is by courtesy of Picasa.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was Wima and for once it was concentrating so hard it didn't notice me as they normally fly away at the slightest movement.
ReplyDeleteThank you Keith. It made a change for one to hang about. I think one Rook can cause more mess than a dozen Starlings.
