Wings on Wednesday - It's My Garden
A few days ago I spotted a couple of Wood Pigeons having a bit of a contretemps. It looked as though one had decided the other wasn't welcome in his garden.
There was a lot of fluttering and leaping about but neither came to any harm.

It's interesting that wood pigeons have become resident garden birds, ian't it? Ten years ago I rarely saw them in my garden - now they are always around and bred three times this year. Welcome visitors though, with their entertaing and comical courtship.All the best, Phil

ReplyDeletePhil. It used to be Collared Doves were almost resident in the garden but the Wood Pigeons seem to have taken over from them.

ReplyDeleteAdrian. It wasn't the usual courtship harassment. Definitely looked like a scrap over who was in charge.
