Friday at the Flicks - Garden Snail - Juvenile Birds

I was partly wrong the other day when I said only slugs and snails like all the wet weather we have been having. I forgot to include the Blackbirds. They love it when the ground becomes waterlogged as it drives the worms to the surface!

Here is the snail I saw the other day:

There have been quite a few different fledgelings visiting the garden, usually with the adults:

Have a great weekend observing the wildlife around you.

  1. I've got more than my fair share of snails here in the garden, despite a couple of hedgehogs visiting, and loads of frogs. Where do they all come from?
Lovely video of the House Sparrow feeding the youngster. So gentle.

  3. I completely agree with you and Keith, gentle is definitely the word, so sweet! I was only thinking the other day that after what must have been a real struggle for them in the last twelve months, the Blackbirds at least are reaping the rewards of all this rain. Excellent videos again.
