Friday at the Flicks - Feeding the Youngster

Several juvenile Wood Pigeons visiting recently - as if there weren't enough of them about already. This morning I spotted an adult feeding a juvenile:

Have a great weekend observing the wildlife around you.

    1. My main gripe with them, Adrian, is the mess they make, especially under every street standard lamp.

  2. I read somewhere a while ago John, that the Woodie population never seems to vary much, but is around 5.3 million pairs.
They are a very adaptable species and eats a variety of food through the year, including most things in your garden.{:))

    1. TWG. I loved the way the youngster wraps one wing over the parent which it did many times before I started filming.
