This was left over from a few weeks ago:
A bit of video. I always find it interesting with video of the Moon. When we look up and observe it the Moon appears virtually motionless. Of course the Earth and the Moon are constantly on the move through space. This video is in real time, not speeded up, showing just how much they are quickly moving in relationship to each other.
Nice ones, John. The video was especially interesting.
ReplyDeleteWilma: It does show why long night sky exposures can be problematic without some sort of tracking for the camera.
Deletewow, the video is really cool!
ReplyDeleteTWG: Pleased you enjoyed it.
DeleteThe video is quite unusual John and something you wouldn't immediately think of doing, but it is interesting.
ReplyDeleteRoy: Maybe I was over influenced by the YMCA (I think) motto I saw as a teenager - The Improbable We Do Now, The Impossible Takes a Little Longer. I was really just testing the video capability of the Canon 70D at the time. ;)
DeleteJohn,Intriguing video of something we all see most days but just take for granted. A great idea to show it!

Thank you David.
DeleteWonderful to see the moon drifting through the morning sky like that ~ the results of your test were an astounding success!
ReplyDeleteThank you Glo. Now we can see why long exposure night shots are such a problem. The darned sky won't stay still!
