When we went to the vets last Tuesday I took a video of the journey which I saved at normal speed. The video is about 20 minutes long and a bit over exposed in some places with the strong low Sunlight. All the journey is along back roads as that is the most direct route in spite of the number of sharp bends along the way. In fact it is part of the journey I made daily, Sun or snow, when I was working.:
At 632MB, it took about 4 hours to upload that one.
Soundtrack is DJ Quicksilver CD playing in the car.
Much shorter is this bit of cloud time lapse. I tried an experiment of using an iPhone / iPod holder designed for car windscreens and sticking it on the kitchen window. There is one glitch when the camera suddenly changes focus:
The clock is a video grab from my desktop background and the titling is the Alpha Clouds font which can be found on the excellent fontspace web site which is full of free fonts suitable for Windows and Macs.
I'll have to have a look at Fontspace. I use Dafont at the moment. The video is too long for the bandwidth I have here.
ReplyDeleteAdrian. I thought it might have been a bit on the large side for mobile internet. Thanks for the link. I hadn't found that one.
DeleteThank you for taking all that time to put the video up. I really enjoyed the drive through your countryside. I will go back and watch it again - but for now - your roads look very narrow to me - especially when there are big vehicles passing you. Also just about minute 19 there is a big ditch visible on the LHS as you turn the corner. Are ditches like that common or is that for a special reason?
ReplyDeletePleased you enjoyed it Mick. The route was along country lanes and, yes, they are very narrow. You have to think of them as being a modern road surface on what were Mediaeval lanes which joined villages. I prefer them to the main roads which are so busy with impatient drivers these days. The flatter parts of Lincolnshire have many large ditches for land drainage. They can be quite scary, especially at night, as many are right next to the roads with no barriers or lighting. I've seen cars in that one in icy weather.
Deleteit always freaks me out to see you driving on the wrong side of the road. :)
