Cold all day yesterday so the little birds were grateful when I topped up their feeders several times.

Penny had been in the garden for a few minutes so I was more than a little surprised to see a Grey Heron had landed near the pond. It was keeping an eye on where she was but Penny couldn't see it as the greenhouse was in the way. She only noticed when it took off:
The four legged boss got me up about 5 a.m. to go in the garden. I was surprised just how thick the fog was and was grateful to return to a comfy warm bed. Walkies about 7.30 a.m., clear except for the clouds of breath from both our mouths. About 8.30 it was back to thick fog which cleared in less than an hour. Afternoon was cold but mainly Sunny so we were treated to a somewhat colourful though short lived Sunset:
Not a lot of any note going on nature wise round here so far this year with next door changing hands. Lots of garden clearance and bringing the property up to date so I thought I would try something different. An occasional series of Weird Wednesdays. Here is the first. Bet you can't work out what it started out as before I had a play with it:
