My water feature using the old waterfall from my pond is still under construction. I had to replace the filter unit as the old one was leaking. At somewhere near twenty years old I couldn't find any spare parts for it. I didn't like the solid wood background so I replaced that with a couple of layers of greenhouse sun shading material. Not that the birds are bothered whether it is a finished product or not as long as there is water to drink or bathe in.
This blackbird is easy to recognise as it has a few white feathers.

Bathing on the Lawn
Mid afternoon there were about fifteen Starlings squabbling at the bird feeders and some taking it in turns to have a quick bath on the flooded part of my back garden lawn.

The Blue Tit made its usual brief visit to the nest box which pleased me as I had spent an hour replacing a camera which monitors the outside of the boxes. I was hoping all the banging and drilling wouldn't scare it off.

Bird Visitors to my Garden
One of the things I like to do is to watch the birds which come to feed at my bird table and bird feeders.

Birds which regularly visit include Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Great Tits, Long Tailed Tits, Greenfinches, Chaffinches, Robin and Starlings.
Here is part of the group of Long Tailed Tits which visits briefly from time to time.

A juvenile Great Tit enjoying a piece of peanut.

Birds like shallow water to bathe in like this group of Sparrows cooling off on a hot Summers day.

Even when the temperature was zero and it was snowing birds were looking for water to drink and to bathe in.

Some birds prefer to eat on the ground including this cock Pheasant which visited a few times a short while ago.
