It's That Scary Night Again

Halloween2017b

Halloween2017a

These were made using the Mac app 'Hallows Eve' which I managed to acquire during the only 24 hrs it has ever been a free download. This app can use almost any of your own photos as a background and provides a good selection of 'artifacts' which can be added, scaled, rotated and layered to make the final picture. There is also a version for iOS.

Halloween

For those who partake, have a happy and safe Halloween.

The 'head' was fitted with two beads which contain a low dose radioactive substance which glows when illuminated with UV light. In this case each bead has an UV LED glued to the back. The 'head' was photographed and the background removed and replaced with a colour using the Mac app Super Photocut:

Gargoyles for Halloween

Having photographed the occasional gargoyle on the village church in the past I took the opportunity on today's afternoon walk to capture all that I could see. Halloween is not an occasion that my family has ever celebrated but these certainly brought it to mind.

Music is ' Funeral March of a Marionette', by Charles Gounod and often associated with Alfred Hitchcock.
