It is great to see that we must be getting closer to Spring. On our afternoon walkabouts there are some flowers to be seen. In the churchyard the patch of Winter Aconite is growing each year and always puts on a cheerful show,
Nearby in the churchyard are several clumps of Snowdrops. Another welcome sight.
Also to be seen in several gardens are various colours of Crocus. These are growing in one of my plant troughs.
I can see that it wont be too long before Daffodils and Narcissus are in flower as the stalks are about half height now.
The photos were taken with my mobile phone.
Yes it appears to be spring. These are very good never think of using my phone.
ReplyDeleteDaffodils just coming out here in the warm south west, but still only a few crocus. Definitely feels warmer these days, birds began singing at 5.30 today
ReplyDeleteLovely to see all the signs of spring, after a lousy winter.
ReplyDeleteThere are some daffodils out at the side of the road at my local lake.
Lovely photos John, your phone is excellent! Isn't it lovely to see the Spring flowers emerging, I love them and they always give me a lift.
ReplyDeleteI too was photographing Winter Aconites and Snowdrops this week and some Crocuses have suddenly appeared in my garden as if from nowhere :)
Great to see some YELLOW shining out at long last. A couple of Narcissus in flower in the garden here and swathes on some of the local round-a-bouts. All we need is the big yellow one above to open its face regularly.
ReplyDeleteLovely cheerful photos! Some yellow crocus next door, and my snowdrops and crocus are up about an inch or two.
ReplyDeleteThe Sony Ericsson phones always seem to have a decent camera. This one is 8M pixels. It's a useful standby as I always have it with me when I'm out and about.
ReplyDeleteIt shows the difference in average temperature E.R.. It will be a while before the daffs are out here.
ReplyDeleteit has been lousy Keith. Roll on the warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteYes Frank. The big yellow one seems to be on a perpetual go-slow these days.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jan. The phone camera does a reasonable job though I have to get very close as they always have wide angle lenses. It's funny how we don't seem to notice some plants until they are in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteIt does cheer things up when the flowering plants start to appear Glo.
