Not a lot going on here this week. The last few days the seed has hardly been touched. Regulars though still include Goldfinches and a Collared Dove which has worked out how to enjoy Nyjer seeds by balancing on the dish which collects any spillage.
Have a great weekend observing the wildlife around you.
BTW - if anyone knows of a Windozy program which can colour pop video files I would dearly love to hear about it. I've tried Googling but all I get is info about working with photographs.
The Goldfinches are always a welcome sight. Bet the dove is wondering what daft beggar invented the catch tray.
ReplyDeleteThose Collared Doves are so adaptable; no wonder they are doing so well.
ReplyDeleteNice observation. Our goldfinches have been doing their balancing act atop liatris, now blackened with seed and waving in the breeze.

I suppose there comes a time in the year when natural insects and seeds are freely available. Do you think this is why you don't have visitors at the moment?
ReplyDeleteHello Adrian. The Dove even manages to perch on the small ring perches on the seed feeder.
ReplyDeleteI know Keith. They are rivalling the rabbits for breeding round here.
ReplyDeleteHello BMG. Thank you for visiting and for leaving a comment. I've tried to grow some teasels for the Goldfinches, but failed so far.
ReplyDeleteThat may be Matron though they suddenly stopped eating my seed. Even the greedy Starlings are making a fleeting visit. I'll not complain too much, it's cheaper at the moment.
