Only a few very short showers on Saturday (the eleventh consecutive wet day) but a cold breeze blowing in from the North Sea was gradually strengthening with dark clouds drifting across the sky. In spite of this, for a brief period there was a lovely Sunset which I just happened to notice when I went through to the kitchen to make a cuppa. Grabbing the TZ7 I fired off a few shots across my fence:
Looks an angry sky John.
ReplyDeleteCertainly 'angry' here at the moment. Strong winds and it's chucking it down. lol
It does Keith, but it was the only bit of colour we had all week lol.
DeleteFortunately the rain was later reaching us so it wasn't too bad for the 6am walk but it's making up for it now. Wind peaking at 30mph so far.
These storm clouds make great photographs don't they? Quite menacing when you can see one bubbling up!
ReplyDeleteThey do Matron. With all those dark clouds it was surprising that it didn't start raining until about 4 in the morning.
DeleteGosh, sounds like a very blustery day with those wind speeds. Dull here again as well, but not too windy. By the look of your weather button on the right, we are having similar temperatures. Looks like Monday might be a bright day for you. By seeing the colourful sunset, at least you know the sun does exist!
ReplyDeleteNot too bad, all things considered. The highest gust my weather station recorded today was 35mph - some areas were forecast to have 50 - 60mph. Monday should be a lot brighter and temps up to double figures which with all the damp ground will probably mean foggy conditions for a while. Some of the back lawn is under water but that will soon disappear.
DeleteVery dramatic looking sky there John
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic and atmospheric!
