Recently the weather has been typically British - never knowing what it will be like in an hour's time. Anything from brilliant Sunshine to tropical downpours.
One of my water lilies snapped during a short sunny period:
From time to time I am trying to thin out some of the other aquatic plants which have got out of control.
You ought to get some more Lilly Beetles save a lot of work. They are beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteAdrian: I don't think they like getting their feet wet.
DeleteThats a lovely flower John.
ReplyDeleteRoy. No matter what the weather a water lily always seems to look perfect.
DeleteWhat a cracking flower, John! A beauty, its a shame we need the sunshine to see them open and we can miss this perfect stage. A lucky photo opportunity of a perfect bloom. Not that I've room for anymore myself, I am still interested in the name of this one - do you know it?
ReplyDeleteShirley: There are a few small varieties which like shallow water. I will have to try to find the labels which came with mine.
DeleteIt's very lovely to have such a thing! Mum's pond doesn't have any.
ReplyDeleteSimon. They do set off any water feature. I must think about building one just to hold water lilies.
