Last and First

Spotted earlier this week. The last flutter to be seen this year?

Also spotted - these look like the beginnings of flower spikes on three of my Cymbidium orchids which will probably be the first to flower early next year:

  2. A long period of anticipation for orchid flowers, but worth it.

    1. Wilma: Yes. Slow to grow but so long lasting when they finally bloom.

  3. I spotted a Red Admiral in the garden a few weeks ago and suspect it will be the last of the year. None seen since!
