It started when I noticed a few of my Dwarf Iris plants:
For our mid morning walk-about we cut trough the back of the churchyard.
As expected the Snowdrops were out under the trees:
and around the tombstones:
The main crop of Winter Aconite was putting on a good show:
The day ended with a glorious Sunset:
Lovely to see the irises - one of my favorite flowers.
ReplyDeleteWilma: Such delicate blooms.
DeleteIt will be a while before I see any colour. Things are looking good with you.
ReplyDeleteAdrian: Lovely and warm yesterday but back to normal by the end of today.
DeleteLovely to see the arrival of some early Spring flowers. We used to have some little irises here but I think they have been swamped out by the herbs we planted in the same wall. Little buds appearing on the few garden snowdrops we have and I love aconites. I really must go out locally soon and look for some Spring flowers although it is often mid to late February that they put on a good show round here.
ReplyDeleteRR: Three times I have collected seed from the Aconites but failed to get any to grow. I would love to have some in the garden.
