Nearly There

The first flowers have started opening on my largest Cymbidium plant:

Cymbidium DSCN8238

I used to think the blobs of sticky sap were caused by insect attack but after some research I was reassured that these are produced naturally by the plant.

    1. Mick: Thank you. Some I find easy but others, even those which are supposed to be easy, I fail with. For outdoors I have just ordered a bottle bush plant. Had one years ago in the conservatory but it died one Winter. Now I've found a variety which is said to be fully UK hardy.

  2. I see several other buds on the stalk too - a fine specimen.

    1. Wilma: Yes indeed it has quite a few buds. Should look nice when they all open.

  3. They really are the most exotic plants aren't they?
