Identified in various ways:
by Adrian and The Weaver of Grass, with Wilma and Ragged Robin correctly saying it is a fossil fish.

ReplyDeleteOh good I was right after all :) I have a lot of fossils and the fish are very special. I also have a lobster although my favourites are Trilobites and insect inclusions in amber :) Anyway I digress!............ My guess for this week is a kettle on a cooker (gas?) I may be totally wrong of course :) - it could be a teapot!! But will stay with kettle and hope :)
ReplyDeleteRR: Years ago the school where I taught used to take parties of children to stay on the Yorkshire coast for a week. I loved exploring the fallen rocks in places like Staithes looking for fossils. Lovely rock pooling area also.
