Moonset

On this morning's walkabout there was a faint red sky to the East as the rising Sun illuminated the wispy clouds. Towards the West the Moon was setting behind the trees.

Canon 70D, 300mm zoom lens with an added 3x digital zoom in camera.
Shot at normal speed.

  1. This is beautiful. I am always amazed how fat it moves despite having used it with a sextant for years.

  2. Adrian: Thank you. The tighter the zoom the faster the apparent movement.

  4. Gorgeous, John. Perfect setting of the moon, setting in which to view, and settings of the camera. We had a lovely moon rise over the sea here last night.

    1. Wilma: Thank you. I've tried taking a video of the Moon several times. Usually just the Moon with no background - boring! This looked to be a more interesting setting.
