Juvenile Blue Tit

It was a pleasant surprise to see a juvenile Blue Tit visit the feeders this morning.

Temperature steadily rising out there. About 24C at the moment.
Cooler in here with the air conditioner running.

Spotted a Painted Lady in the front garden. First sighting of one for ten years.

    1. Adrian: It is. I wonder whether the young BT belongs to the adult which almost nested in my camera box this year.

  2. Lovely to see the juvenile Blue Tit - have had to stop feeding birds here for a while - the dreaded r*ts have moved back yet again under next door's decking :( Great news about the Painted Lady - I think we are undergoing an "invasion" at the moment although I haven't yet seen one.

    1. RR: I keep a couple of tin trays topped up with rat poison under my large shed. Every now and then they need topping up as they do their job. It does look like a repeat of 2009 for the numbers of Painted Ladies I see reported.
