Dave: I like to watch the way they solve problems. Also they are about the only natural control over Wood Pigeon numbers here. I often see them rob WP nests.

Magpies often get bad press, but they are attractive birds and natural survivors, who over the last 50 years have adapted to urban environments

DeleteI haven't seen any here this year but they are moving slowly north. If they'd confine themselves to wood pigeon nests then I'd be happy.
