Friday at the Flicks - Snail

After a bit more use with the Shapes Collage app I noticed that it is able to save the pictures with any colour background. I gave it a try using green so I could see how they might work in a video:



I spotted this tiny snail, shell less than 10mm across.
The Blackbird was in fine voice along with some juvenile Starlings in the background.

Friday at the Flicks - Baby Snail

As promised earlier in the week here is a short clip of the baby snail.
The body is so transparent I think that is its last meal which can be seen:



Hand held so somewhat wobbly though I did stabilise it a bit in iMovie.

Tiny But Perfectly Formed

Just about to put some weeds in the green waste wheelie bin when I spotted this tiny snail on the lid. Fully extended is was no more than 12 mm long. The body was almost transparent as it stretched out moving from rain drop to rain drop.





I was surprised how fast it could move. Wait for Friday to see that.

Friday at the Flicks - Snail

It so often happens I have nothing new for Friday at the Flicks until the very last minute. As we returned from our early morning perambulation this morning I spotted this snail climbing the bungalow wall:



With the return of damp weather there have been many dowdy looking garden snails in evidence. Good news for the thrushes, not so good for gardeners. There are far less of the more colourful types like this one.
