After a bit more use with the Shapes Collage app I noticed that it is able to save the pictures with any colour background. I gave it a try using green so I could see how they might work in a video:
I spotted this tiny snail, shell less than 10mm across.
The Blackbird was in fine voice along with some juvenile Starlings in the background.
Have a great weekend observing the wildlife around you.
I liked the look of this. I must start using green screen again but Alpha over is just as quick unless I want the title to cast a shadow then green screen doesn't work.
Adrian: Unfortunately iMovie doesn't allow much in the way of manipulation with green screen objects. Pan and zoom are possible but I would have liked to dissolve or fade between the two sets of words. I think the only way would be to make the titles with the green background as a stand alone ordinary video so all available transitions can be used and then add that to the main video.
Thank you for visiting. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Any comment, or correction to any information or identification I get wrong, is most welcome. John
