Fledgling Song Thrush

A week ago I spotted two juvenile Song Thrushes in the garden. I only managed to video one of them as I couldn't catch them close to each other.

More than a bit grainy as the video was taken at 9.30 p.m.

Goldfinches

The morning started with an adult and juvenile making a brief visit.

A short while later six adults came to try out the new seed feeder:

First time for a few years I have seen more than an occasional lone Goldfinch visit.

Autumn Brood

I was surprised to see a juvenile bird this late in the year.

It took me a while to work out what is was. Eventually I was able to briefly see the tell tale yellow of a Goldfinch on its wings. The photographs were taken a day apart so there may well be more than one.

Blackbird Family

Well, dad and two of the three kids. One moved away just as I started to take photographs.

Where can I find some more food:

That wasn't much of a beak full, try again:

And so it went on for several minutes.

A short while later I spotted a Jackdaw in the same place:

Don't see those very often in my garden.
