Alford Cartoonified

As always I had the iPod set up to record my car journeys.
I have shown the drive out of Alford in the past.
This time I thought I would make it look a little different.

This is the result of using the Mac app Celling Video

Turn right out of the car park.
After the few shops the market square in on the left.
Where the black car comes towards me is the Greyhound charity shop.
Wait for a gap in the traffic passing the church.
On to the road which takes us back home.
As we negotiate the left hand bend out of the town there is the entrance to Alford's five sail working windmill. I must get round to visiting it for a photo session.

I took this photo of Alford windmill some years ago.

Read about the windmill on the Alford Windmill web site.

  4. A 5 sail mill...there's a similar one at North Hykeham near here. Unless that's a 7 blader...

    1. Simon: We seem to go in for odd numbers of sails in Lincolnshire.

  5. Super video - it looks so 3-D. Very clever :)

Would love to see more of the lovely windmill. We have one that has been restored near us at Berkswell and the open day we attended there was really interesting.

    1. RR: Thank you. I think there are four working windmills within 20 or so miles of me. I've been inside Alford Windmill once, several years ago, but as I was part of a group of radio amateurs who set up a transmitter for a special event I didn't see much. I do remember feeling somewhat dizzy standing on that balcony with only a single rail in front of me. It's higher up than it looks!
