Change of Layout - Back up to Speed??

A couple of my regular readers have pointed out to me how slow the blog was to load since I changed to one of the new layouts. Although I had no problem with loading speeds a Google search showed this is not an isolated problem so I have gone back to one of the old style layouts. I know what it is like watching paint dry when pushed for time so I hope this has cured things. Please let me know if there are still any problems.

    No problem here John. Since I switched browsers to Google Chrome most thing load almost instantaneously. There are odd blogs with impressive wallpapers which can hang a bit.

    Hello Adrian. I have a feeling that the new Blogger layouts onyl work correctly with the very latest update to any browser. I tried Chrome and deleted it after a couple of hours, only as it was no faster here than FireFox.

    John - no problems with more sophisticated layout nor are there having "gone back to basics". It's always good to read whatever the layout though.

    I use Chrome as a browser as it generally seems quicker for everything - even Firefox. This may have helped of course.

    Thank you Tricia. I think the latest version of most browsers are OK but there seems to be some coding in the new layouts which older browsers can't cope with.

    Hello Linda. I'm pleased that things seem to be back to normal. From reading some Googled comments quite a few people are having slow loading problems with Bloggers new layouts.
