Macro on Monday - Guess What

First last week's puzzle alongside a full picture of the object:

rectangle_New-Out99999   Chinese Lantern plant seed case

This time it was Jan who deserves the gold star for correctly identifying it as a seed case from a Chinese Lantern Plant (Physalis). Well done Jan.

Now on to the new puzzle picture, this time taken through the microscope at about 35x magnification:

Clue: Definitely not a contender for the four minute mile record.
No prizes for correct identification other than having your name in lights.
Answer next Monday.

  1. A green or grey lipped snail. I'll go for grey lipped.

  2. Somebody didn't go at a snail's pace to guess the answer, at double speed! ;) I was all excited to recognize a snail's shell, but would never have thought to specify which 'model'. Hope you're right on the mark Adrian :)

  4. I have a smile from ear to ear and will wear my gold star with pride :) I really wasn't at all confident!

I have no suggestions for this one at all but can see others seem to be thinking alike. Good luck to everyone.
