Just a gentle reminder that the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch takes place this weekend - 26th-27th January 2013. It just takes one hour of your time to count the maximum number of each type of bird which visits your garden during whichever hour you choose. Full details can be found on the RSPB site.
Yea, I'll be there John.
ReplyDeleteHad some great birds during the bad weather; I hope they stay for the count.
I defy you to do the count at your favourite lake ;)
DeleteLol... I'll be there too but I suspect the birds will be busy elsewhere ;-)
ReplyDeleteFor the first time in ages we've a blue sky and the snow is glistening and melting - the perfect day for sunbathing high on tree branches. However, I've had great success with a snow shelter for ground feeding birds during the dull days this past week and last weekend the snow brought in a Fieldfare and a Pheasant wandering around (got video of both). However, the big question is not who will appear during my count but instead who will be missing. Enjoy yours (guessing you might be done before this is published ;-)
The snow shelter looks good Shirl. Should bring in lots of visitors for the count.
