The male Blackcap has continued to visit the seed feeders fairly often. Much rarer are sightings of the female so it was pure luck I managed to take some video a couple of days ago:
Have a great weekend observing the wildlife around you.
Thanks for bringing back memories of the Blackcaps visiting my garden. It’s been a few years now when they would pass through (heading South)for a few days during January. I loved the females visiting as they didn’t seem to be as aggressive to other birds as the male was. Nice video and a great visitor to your garden – enjoy.
Thank you for visiting. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Any comment, or correction to any information or identification I get wrong, is most welcome. John
she's a cutie with her little brown cap. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is TWG.
DeleteThats a great video John and you are fortunate to see a female or any Blackcap.
ReplyDeleteRoy - Thank you Roy. It was fortunate the feeder was close enough to get a clear shot.
DeleteO my goodness, she is beautiful. Thanks for sharing this video.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure Bonnie. I was lucky she stayed long enough to get a decent length of video.

ReplyDeleteThank you Shirl. I was fortunately to have the camera ready at just the right time.
