The first full post completed on the laptop. How nice to be able to compute and take in some fresh air at the same time. Lovely to sit here and listen to all the bird song.
Things keep catching me by surprise this Spring so I shouldn't have been surprised to see tadpoles swimming around this morning. These are from a batch of frog spawn I transferred from the pond to the 'nursery pool' a few days ago.:
Tadpoles 1 from Midmarsh on Vimeo.
The video was taken with an endoscope camera hand held just above the water surface. Low quality as it only has 300K pixels but it is small, waterproof, has 4 LED lights built in, focuses from 6cm to infinity, plugs in a USB port and has a 7m cable. Another reason I wanted a laptop - hopefully to be able to get some underwater video in the pond.
tadpoles and their growth are fascinating! yay for technology that works in your summer house!
ReplyDeleteTWG. Far better than being cooped up indoors.
Deletean endoscope eh? ~ I like your pond tool, a far cry from what others know its design for.
ReplyDeleteYour nursery pool is very kind to new & tender young life.
alas..snow again for us....
Goodness me - you must be sick of the sight of snow by now ImaBurdie.
DeleteHi John, hope you're sitting comfortably in that pretty summerhouse :-) So glad to be able to view your recent videos today. We had broadband problems yesterday and I could only get a couple of seconds before it stuttered to a halt, I tried several times to no avail and as the day went on the connection got worse :-( I feared it was new router time but think it may have been weather conditions as all seems ok today. Anyway, I enjoyed the videos, great to see the tadpole activity and lovely to see the flutter.
ReplyDeleteHello Jan. I had a day like that a short while ago. There is an awful lot of upgrading going on all over the country which seems to cause the odd disruption to broadband. Maybe it was that. Hope it has all settled down again.
DeleteI actually had to get out a short sleeved shirt today. For once the breeze had a bit of warmth while I was tidying up the garden near the summerhouse, which I'm thoroughly enjoying.
There is no stopping you now, John – anything is possible from your newly built and technically operational creative hotspot. Enjoy :-D
ReplyDeleteHa ha Shirl. That could end up being a good description.
