Friday at the Flicks - To the Garden Centre

Just a shortish video of the second half of one of my three visits to the local garden centre this past week:

Once past the first small hill the Lincolnshire Wolds can be seen in the distance. They are classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty. The garden centre is on the outskirts of Louth.

Storm Chasing:
A fairly new site is worth checking if you like to know where lightning is occurring in the UK (and other parts of the world). Many such sites have a 15 to 20 minute delay for their free access but this one shows where lightning strikes are happening in real time. Useful if you would like to see which way a storm is moving and possibly giving some warning of a possible photo opportunity.

The real-time lightning map can be found HERE.

At the time of writing the coast near Ipswich looks as though it is taking a real pounding:

  1. thanks for the link. I occasionally use ATD lightning detector. I'll have a look at this not that I ever see much lightning. I'll try for the video later as I'm short of bandwidth at the moment.

  3. The video is fun. Not sure I approve of the music. Much prefer Radio 4. Did you get the free app I sent you?

Yes, thanks, I did have a look at the site - looks mind boggling and useful if you have a 3D printer.
