It has been an ambition for a long time to video visiting Long-tailed Tits. It's not often they stay in one place for more than a few seconds. Usually by the time I get the camera pointing at the right feeder they have flown away. These clips were shot over several days:
Mick: LTTs keep up a constant very faint twittering when they are in a group. I think most of the song is from a Dunnock with possibly a Robin there also.
They are such pretty birds aren't they John? Just occasionally a little flock descends onto our fat balls and their body patterns make such a pretty display as they hang on to the basket.
