Ripples in the Garden
The rain arrived about 3 a.m. and continued for 11 hours before settling down to scattered showers for the rest of the day giving a total of about 27mm (just over an inch):
With the ground already being saturated it wasn't long before parts of the back garden started to disappear under water:
There wasn't much to photograph apart from the ripple patterns:
Interesting but not very inspiring so I tried tarting them up in a few programs:
Finally a 'rabbit hole' effect in a tiny planet program:

Sorry John, but whichever way I look at it it says rain - of which I am utterly sick.
ReplyDeleteIt has rained here but nothing excessive for weeks. It has been cold. The swamp in the forest has almost dried out.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy a planet. It works well with the rain.
Pink Floyd's "Meddle" album cover there
ReplyDeleteHope you stayed dry while getting those shots!
ReplyDeleteVery artistic John.
ReplyDeleteDidn't we get an awful lot of rain in a short period.
