Quite a decent day yesterday, for the time of year. The lawn dried out sufficiently for me to give it a first trim of the year before the grass got too long. Spring bulbs are showing and my favourite are some double flowered miniature daffodils I planted last Autumn.
To end the day a colourful Sunset:
Next I will have to think about trimming back some Ivy along the side of the garden.
Yes it's summer here as well. Leave a bit of Ivy for the bees and wasps this autumn.
ReplyDeleteAdrian: No worry there. I have yards and yards of the stuff on three sides of the home.
DeleteThe 'end of the day' shot is amazing John.
ReplyDeleteRoy: Thank you.
DeleteI cut the lawns in the walled garden for the first time yesterday. That Daffodil is quite different, we have nothing like that here.
ReplyDeleteRob: I saw those daffs listed on eBay and though I would give them a try out. One disadvantage - tops are so heavy they soon fall over in a breeze.
