When checking to see what has been recorded the phone app looks like this:
The orange bars show when movement was detected and recordings made. Not all clips show birds actually on the bird table but here are the best so far:
Dunnock, Robin, Starlings and Blue Tit. As I thought, the seed is well in focus but the birds are just a bit too close so end up in soft focus but still recognisable.
Very good John. Can Starlings ever do anything quietly?
ReplyDeleteAdrian: Not too noisy for two Starlings. Mayhem when the breakfast time brat pack arrives.
DeleteThat turned out well, John. You get such a variety of birds and the camera picks up the colors well! Good job!
ReplyDeleteEllen: It did better than I anticipated. Over the year there are quite a few different birds. Some I miss seeing as they visit for such a short time. Maybe the camera will give me a better idea of how many varieties actually visit.
DeleteVery good. I find that with the wet weather I'm having to clean my feeders more than usual especially the peanut feeder as they hardly eat any and the nuts soon turn black.
ReplyDeleteDave: Same situation here. I have found that over the past few years the peanuts seem far less popular. I'm now mixing some suet pellets with the peanuts to see whether it encourages more interest in that feeder.
