Penny Meets a Hedgehog

Every night when Penny goes in the back garden for a last look round she hopes to find a Hedgehog. If they have been about she rushes round, nose to the ground, following the scent trail. Last night she met up with one. A first she tended to be a bit rough but soon settled to just being inquisitive.

Penny Meets a Hedgehog

As soon as she was let out this morning Penny went straight to the place where she had met the Hedgehog, hoping it was still there.

  1. Hi John, I've been wondering what Penny would make of the Hedgehogs. All the dogs we've had have learnt the prickly way :-) Great sequence of photos and captions!

Lovely video of the Squirrel too. I can't remember, is it the first time one has visited your garden? The poster on the earlier post was fun too :-)

Hope the weather is better there. It is wet, cold and miserable here and most of the day has been taken up with messing about with our router but in the end we had to give in and buy a new one...with minutes to spare before the shop closed! At least it was up and running within moments though unlike the old one which was incredibly complicated to set up!

    1. After dark she is obsessed with finding a Hedgehog so I have to keep a close eye on her.
First visiting squirrel for quite a long while. I used to have one visit every day.
Weather - one minute raining with cold breezes, the next brilliant sunshine with high humidity.

  2. As ShySongbird commented above, I also wondered when Penny would have a prickly encounter! I bet she never knows what might turn up next near the Birdy Bistro. Great photos and captions :)

    1. She is still finding out about the wildlife in the garden. Last night she met her first frog.

  3. Nice to see she's following in her dad's footsteps and developing a keen interest in wildlife. Linda
