I took a few shots of a weakish Sunrise with the FujiFilm IS-1 without any filters so it would record colour and any IR it picked up. Then I used the Mac app Simply HDR to enhance the results. Each pair starts with the shot as taken by the camera followed by the modified result:
It works well on the second one. The first one is similar to the results I get in Photoshop but it fills bits with 18% grey. The last one is fine but haloing. Even in Photomatix haloes are a problem and sometimes only removable by cloning in from one of the original shots. Interesting for all that.
Lovely gentle sunrise shots John. I just can't get the colour like that on my Canon Digital Ixus, although it takes quite nice ordinary little shots for my blog.
Thank you for visiting. Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Any comment, or correction to any information or identification I get wrong, is most welcome. John

ReplyDeleteI use pixlr, it does make a heck of a difference to some shots. Sky shots I contrast the hell out of them
ReplyDeletein most cases, i like the softer, natural tones.
