Heard but not seen this morning was the song of our local Mistle Thrush.
As I said on my post - I hope we are not being lulled into a false sense of Spring. I adore catkins just as I eagerly await the song of the mistle thrush. Only robins here to date.

ReplyDeleteSuper photos :) Lots of hazel catkins out here - but haven't seen any of the female flowers yet.
ReplyDeleteThe Hazel bush always starts growing it catkins through the Winter but they stay tightly closed until the warmer Spring weather when the flowers appear.
