Where I used to have two Hedgehogs visit the feeding station every night I now see just one which visits two or three nights a week. Early this morning the visitor earned its free meal when it found some natural food - a nice bug juicy slug.
That is one less to worry about! No sound from this camera.
Your cameras have come on a treat. Good result.
ReplyDeleteNever see them in the glen but do at the stables. A groom there collects any found in daylight in winter and pops them in some old ferret cages. Must cost her a fortune in cat food but each to their own. She releases them in the spring. The hedgehog preservation folk have meetings and decide where to let them go. I guess it's not near ground nesting RSPB places. The RSPB are very territorial.
Nice little things, she had a blind one for years and it was really tame. The dogs used to carry it about. Pop it down for a walk and defend it from the geese.
I wonder what happened to the other hedgehog?! Must have been a large dessert as it chewed and chewed and chewed! Cute!
