That and This

That is the first of my Living Stones (Lithops) to flower ....

... and this is a Speckled Wood butterfly which spent a while landing on various plants around the garden. It didn't land on any flowers so maybe it was seeking places to lay eggs...

  1. Congrats on the Lithops flower! Does the plant it is on die back or continue to grow and flower again?

    2. Correction for typo!
      Wilma: Late Winter through Spring the two fleshy halves will wither away but a plant grows from the centre. The hard bit is remembering they must not be watered during this stage in their growth

    1. TWG: Sometimes known as living pebbles as they look like pebbles or small stones and blend in to their natural surroundings.
