Friday at the Flicks - Under Water(drop) Attack
When I had the microscope set up to see what was in a few drops of pond water I was videoing a ciliate (possibly Coleps) when it found a source of food. For an idea of size both are less than one millimetre:

Wednesday was one of those days when all the rain arrives in one short burst.
For a short time the rate of rainfall exceeded 30mm per hour:

ReplyDeleteAdrian: Thanks. As you know it is hard sometimes to come up with something different. It' usually a question of being in the right place / looking at the right place at the right time and remembering to press the correct keys to get recordings started.

DeleteThursday it pittered rain all day here John but never enough to wet the pavement and as there was a sharp breeze it really dried up as it fell.
